KKK Member David Duke Endorses Donald Trump

David Duke vehemently declared his support for Donald Trump. Mr. Duke believes that Donald Trump has authenticity and true eligibility to run for president as the Republican nominee. But David Duke’s declaration to endorse Donald Trump has trapped Trump into a new critical hullabaloo. Donald Trump earlier sparked some controversies on immigrants, Muslims and other issues. Ironically, the controversial remarks he opted for rewarded him more support instead of boomerang. Donald Trump with his growing support in pursuit of a republican presidential nomination, however, has experienced apathy from the Republican establishment. Recently, Mitt Romney has brutally criticized Trump and the Establishment apparently have a similar approach to Trump.

David Duke's support of Donald Trump wouldn't have sparked controversy if David wasn’t a KKK spokesperson. According to David, he served as a spokesperson only for three years. But his allegation that the wing of KKK he served for was nonviolent cannot erase his rough connections with the infamous KKK. After all, he is a former Ku Klux Klan!

In an interview with CNN, Donald Trump denied requests to disavow David Duke. According to Donald Trump, he knows nothing about David Duke or anything about white supremacy that Ku Klux Klan is infamous for. Though CNN interviewer pressed on Trump to clear his stand on Duke, but Mr. Trump repeatedly would not take a clear stance on the issue. According to critics, Donald apparently doesn’t want to lose the support of the white supremacists by denouncing the group or Dr. David Duke.

His apathy to denounce Duke’s support, however, engraves the opposition within and outside the Republican Party. House Speaker Paul Ryan called him out for his apparent reluctance to denounce former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Anti-Trumps doubled their fear that with Donald Trump getting elected for US president means “a serious nod towards fascism, and his non-committal answer when called to disavow an endorsement on national TV by the white supremacist and former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke, is yet another sign that we have entered into a very dangerous period” Hatem Bazian, a lecturer in the Departments of Near Eastern and Ethnic Studies at University of California, writes on Aljazeera.
